Jesus taught us to be generous—generous with our time, talents and personal finances. As a community, we take great joy in using our resources to assist those less fortunate and to continue telling God’s story in the world. We encourage opportunities in tithe and offerings. The word tithe literally means "tenth" or "10%." Tithing and giving offerings teaches us to always put God first in our lives.
Nearly one quarter of Jesus’ teaching was about money. The truth is that money is morally neutral, but what we do with our money reveals something much deeper—what’s in our hearts (Matthew 6:21). God is the Creator and Owner of everything, so we are merely stewards (1 Chronicles 29:14).
Giving is an expression of worship in response to all that God has done.
